18. Beyonce - 1+1

It's been noted by critics how Beyonce took the rather unorthodox step in 2011 of making an album that was unfashionable. Whilst the whole world and it's record label went dance music mad the biggest popstar of our generation created an album that was incredibly mid tempo. Now when i say mid tempo i don't mean boring, for '4' was full of drama, emotion and clever songwriting. At the emotional core of this was this simple yet effective song that showed Beyonce's crackling vocal off to full effect. It's beauty is in it's rawness.
