It's the Chris Brown sung chorus and bridge that make this song so powerful. With it's military clap beat and lyrics about over coming adversity Chipmunk showed he could create an anthem for the new decade. He also alluded to interesting foresight by jumping back on the Chris Brown wagon when it was still taboo to do so, which could explain it's failure to impact in the US at the time. Released now, i reckon it would have been a different case entirely.
