A bit of Blankety Blank: The next song released from BLANK should be BLANK

There has been a dip in the number of decent albums released in the recent weeks, so it has been up to old favourites and some album tracks to keep my musical taste buds excited. With that in mind i will now divulge my highly considered pop opinion to dictate what should be certain artists next singles from their current albums. Whether the listen to me or not, is another question. Though not is looking more likely!

First off:

The next song released from THE ALESHA SHOW should be DON'T EVER LET ME GO.
With its easy, breezy guitars, slight samba beat and a chorus that enjoys a residence in your brain for a good few days, 'Don't Ever Let Me Go' sounds like the soundtrack to staying in love. It is 'Breathe Slow's' funner, trendier and carefree younger sister, if 'Breathe Slow' was the Winter, 'Don't Ever Let Me Go' is most definitly the Spring. Produced for 'The Alesha Show' by Xenomania its the sound of a euphoric love affair.

Secondly:

The next song released from 808s & HEARTBREAK should be ROBOCOP.
The most instant track from Kanye's tour de force. Taking Hip-Hop to new and commercially unexplored territory 'Love Lockdown' and 'Heartless' showed West's versatility and uniqueness within the genre. 'Robocop' takes a slight step back to his previous style, whilst still keeping the signifiers that set this album out against all his contemporaries.

Next Up:

The next song released from THE FAME should be BROWN EYES
So far this year Gaga has released the biggest selling song of 2009 to date, and then released the best single of 2009 to date (until 27th April and 'Untouchable'). So maybe now would be a good time to show the public that she is a serious musician, and the way serious musicians always achieve this is to "release a ballad". 'Brown Eyes' sounds nothing like 'Just Dance' or 'Poker Face' but its over indulgent instrumental, electro pop sounds and rich American-brat vocals have become Gaga's trademark. Whilst some could accuse her of having style over content, i feel that style is overshadowing content, as the content is most definitely there.

And finally:

The next song released from IT'S NOT ME, IT'S YOU should be FUCK YOU
Quite simply this is the best song on the album. It is the most socially relevant, and it would ensure more bleeping than any song since Eamon and Frankie told each other to 'Fuck It' and 'Fuck U Right Back'. Allen's 'Fuck You' is less personal and puts two fingers up at bigots, homophobes, racist, religious nuts and the rest. What the world needs now is not love it's tolerance.

So there we have it, whilst none may ever make the single grade, it could also act as a personal highlight of album cuts from late 2008 / early 2009.

So yeah, her name has no spaces in it, and whilst i contemplated writing this all with no spaces, i thought that would be rediculous. A synthy, electro, grubby, poppy, brassy sound that is amazingly on-trend. Meaning that it will probably be far to advance for the mainstream. However she has been profiled in the guardian music section (possibly my new favourite place to find quirky stars, bizzarely), so who knows, if she gets picked up by Radio 1 we may see those itune sales rocket... 'I'm Not Sorry' is the latest song and it's rather fabulous.
